Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls (RNRC4G) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that empowers youth and cultivates future leaders by providing them with accessible music education and exposure to diverse communities.
Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls (RNRC4G) envisions a future where campers, parents, staff, and volunteers feel fully welcomed and comfortable to be authentic. We want to grow in our understanding of providing inclusive spaces led by individuals who are diverse not in both ethnic backgrounds and thought leadership. We seek to expose youth to sustainable leadership positions in the community by partnering with local and national organizations that have different yet valuable outlooks on music education. We understand that providing a range of diverse experiences and outlooks empowers and motivates everyone who interacts with RNRC4G to evolve.
We seek to constantly challenge ourselves on the road to social justice. We aim to continue our growth through building relationships and awareness of our civic responsibility to cultivate future leaders.
“We have to talk about liberating minds as well as liberating society.”- Angela Davis
Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls recognizes that true diversity is equal representation in a variety of people from all walks of life. Without variety, we are bound to repeat the same cycles. We recognize that it is important to celebrate people by valuing them and affirming them in a society that lacks understanding and acceptance. We hold ourselves to the mission of intentional diversity by constantly challenging ourselves and having leaders that are willing to learn and grow more in their mission to cultivate safe spaces.
“Freedom and justice cannot be parceled out in pieces to suit political convenience. I don’t believe you can stand for freedom for one group of people and deny it to others.” - Coretta Scott King
